Do any of your products contain Trans Fats?
All Papa John's products contain zero trans fat.
Do any of your ingredients contain MSG?
Papa John's does not add monosodium glutamate (MSG) to any of our pizza toppings. However, there is MSG in our Ranch and Blue Cheese dipping sauces.
Are there animal fats in your dough or sauce?
No. Papa John's dough contains soybean oil, and our pizza sauce contains a blend of either sunflower or canola oil with extra virgin olive oil.
Does Papa John's pizza crust contain gluten?
Yes. Our thin crust and hand-tossed, original crust are made from wheat, which contains gluten.
Do you offer any gluten-free Papa John's products?
At this time, Papa John's only gluten-free product is Papa's Wings.
Do your meat products contain fillers?
No, Papa John's meat products do not contain fillers. We only use 100% real beef and 100% real pork.
Do any Papa John's products contain animal-derived enzymes?
A majority of our products contain biosynthesized and/or vegetable-derived enzymes. Our mozzarella cheese does not contain animal derived enzymes. The enzymes are from a microbial source. However, the cheese blend used on our Tuscan Six Cheese pizza contains animal-derived enzymes. Our hand-tossed original pizza dough contains fungal or bacterial derivatives. Our garlic sauce contains lactic acid, which is not classified as an animal derivative since it is the result of a microbiological fermentation of lactobacillus sp. bacteria. Our Blue Cheese, Cheese sauce, Garlic Parmesan sauce, and Ranch do contain animal derived enzymes. Papa John's parmesan cheese packets contain microbial derived enzymes.
Do you use preservatives on your vegetables?
Our fresh vegetables – onions, green peppers, Roma tomatoes and mushrooms – are not treated with any preservatives. Our canned vegetables – pepperoncini peppers, jalapeños and banana peppers – contain sodium metabisulfite and sodium benzoate, which are used as preservatives.
Do you have any vegetarian options?
Yes. The popular Papa John's vegetarian pizzas are the Garden Fresh pizza and Spinach Alfredo pizza. Don't forget, you can always build your own vegetarian pizza to your personal preferences.
